Welcome to the Motor Yacht Vixen
1) No smoking anywhere on the boat . The paint used on Vixen is highly flammable and the smallest ash will burn through the finish.
2) In general we do not wear shoes on the yacht. If so please wear white sole soft boat shoes.
3) Please keep food in the wheel house , kitchen area, or on the open deck. Please watch your drinks inside. Keep them on coasters to avoid damage to the interior wood work. Watch that they are not left in a position ( edge of table) to end up on the floor underway . Stains on the rug are difficult to remove.. We do not allow Red Wine on board. That stain on the rug or deck can not be removed.
4) Please watch the use of too many electrical items at one time. Too much draw on the electrical system can trip breakers. Try not to use blow dryers , curling irons, oven ,dryer, and other high amp items at the same time.If a breaker trips please call our 24 hour number for assistance and we will come down or talk you through the procedures to return power.
5) Please do not flip breakers on the electrical panel without guidance. Everything for your stay is in th ON position.
6) The air conditioning system 1s all automatic with temperature adjustments on 4 panels you will see through out the yacht. Please do not put settings lower than 75 degrees. Setting lower will not cool faster and may freeze out the system.
7) Do not enter the engine room area. The systems throughout that area are on and will have live electricity.
8) The plumbing system is very sensitive. DO NOT put anything in the toilet accept toilet paper. Any feminine items, paper towels,dental floss will block the system and is a costly repair. Put all those items in the trash receptacle in the bathroom. While using the bathroom flush by pushing the silver button next to the toilet several times during usage.
9)Watch items in your back pockets before sitting. Pens etc... They will tear the seating material.
10)The tap water is filtered city water and is fine for drinking. As a preference we provide bottled water for you.
11) There are no stupid questions ???????????? Please call 24 hours per day if something seems wrong , sounds funny , or concerns you. We want you to be comfortable and safe.
12) A short note on drinking on board. Please watch your step and keep deck lighting on . Remember you are over water and a stumble can be very dangerous . Please be careful!!!!
